Right Foot, Left Foot, Red Hand, Blue Hand

Learning your right from your left can be a trick. I think we all have been told to turn right and somehow ended up left a few times.  Here is a little classic finger painting activity that makes learning right and left fun for your preschooler.   We’ve attached three free downloads – two in color for hands and feet, plus one in black and white to practice with! One shoe, Two shoe,
Right shoe, Left shoe!
Make learning which shoe goes on which foot as easy as 1, 2, 3!  Once you make this poster and laminate it (or cover it with clear contact paper), your child will have a daily learning lesson right on his bedroom floor! It also teaches that everything has its place and there is a place for everything.  Make multiples for each type of shoe – even one for those rain or snow boot out in the garage or mud room.  We have seen this idea in FamilyFun and on multiple fabulous mommy blogs.  It is a classic teaching tool plus it is just fun to have an excuse dip your toes in some paint! Warning: this is an outside activity or on an easy-to-clean surface activity! Have plenty of wet wipes available!
