Wicked Witches Tea

I held a Witches Tea this week!  This year, I used Shakespeare’s Macbeth as my inspiration.

By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes. Macbeth Act IV scene 1

Although beautiful, the photos do not do the event justice – I just wish ya’ll could be there with me in person!   As inspiration for the decor, I took direction from a witch statue my mother created for me two years ago.  (Just when I begin to believe I am a tiny bit talented, my mother begins molding collector-type dolls out of clay!) If you look closely in the second photo, you can see the witch standing on the left hand side.  I adore Halloween, but this year I was not in love with the traditional orange and black palette for an adult event.  (Even though I LOVED the color combo for the children’s Halloween party I styled for Babiekins Magazine. ) I wanted something a little more classic and mature for this particular event.  The witch my mother created is all in creams, blacks, and classic white.  So I took the hint and ran with it!  Below is a glimpse into the event!  (P.S. The paper collection will be available on my website shortly.)
