General Musings

1047th client

I had all these huge plans, ladies.  When I hit my 1000th client, I was going to have real fireworks come out the screen when you came to my blog (I’m talking the fabulous illegal kind)…and somehow a man would ring your doorbell at the exact same time and hand you one thousand of your favorite flavored cupcakes with sparklers on them.  It was going to be so special.

Instead, I hit my 1000th client without even noticing because I was running around with my head cut off and then this happened…

…and I had to take 2 1/2 weeks off to sleep.

Seriously.

But then this morning, I woke up rested (well, as rested as a mom of three under five can be) and realized I had to get back to work!

So I did the only sensible thing I could think of.  I typed in: www.nordstroms.com into my address bar this morning and bought myself this.

Ladies, I am just going to be honest with you.  Nothing gives me more of a surge of energy than an overpriced handbag.  I have no idea why I didn’t do it in the first place.  I am FILLED with energy now.  Just imagining it being shipped to my door fills me with design ideas.  So I am back in the driver’s seat.

Here’s what I’ve got on the docket to share!

1) My Boston’s Birthday:  It’s going to be TERRIBLY special.  Simply because he is!

2) Babiekins Magazine Sneak Peek Fall Photo Shoot: Babiekins Magazine (my dream children’s magazine) asked me to design a Halloween party for their upcoming fall issue.   I can’t wait to share a little sneak peek of what I did for them.   Wait!  Wait!  Wait it gets better!  THEN they asked me to be their Party Editor and so there is so much more to tell you…

3) It’s a Jolly Holiday with Sharnel Dollar.  Sharnel Dollar who has done parties for Oprah (…wait…. let me repeat that, SHE HAS DONE PARTIES FOR OPRAH!) asked ME to collaborate with her on her daughter’s upcoming Mary Poppin’s inspired 7th birthday party.  So I (without a moment’s hesitation) designed a Mary Poppins Jolly Holiday Collection for her and cannot wait to share with you a few sneak peeks of that!  She is just so fabulous.

4) Gender Reveal Party with Kate Landers.   Darling-as-ever-children’s-event-extraordinaire, Kate Landers, contacted me to design  products for her Make Way for Ducklings themed event this past month.   I had a wonderful time working on the project and collaborating with Kate!  I can’t wait to show you the products I designed for her.  I was happy with the way everything turned out.
