Well, Ladies…I’ve been keeping a little secret.
A few months ago, I was asked by Michele Gott of Center Attention Events to design the invitations and paper for an event for Granny Sarah Mama Obama!
Two thousand “important guests” will be invited to the posh event and proceeds will go to The Mama Sarah Obama Foundation and World Vision. The Mama Sarah Obama Foundation’s goals include giving hope, and a human face to the suffering orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV / AIDS and rampant in Kenya. Something that is near and dear to my heart after having lived in Africa in 2002 and again in 2006-07 and adopted two of my beautiful children from the continent. The event date has been changed by “The Chief” and his staff several times due to (understandable) scheduling conflicts. I am so honored and flattered to be a part of such a meaningful event! And yes…to be 100% honest…I did freak out. Basically, I couldn’t move my body for about ten days due to disbelief. Then I let it all go to my head and I believed I was a form of Wonder Woman for ten more days. The effects have mostly worn off.
