Adoption

This Week ("The Past 3 Weeks")

I know I’ve been gone lately. The hormone changes from the surgery have been slightly affecting me. What I mean by “slightly affecting me” is the following: hotflashes (at 28), forgetting everything, weight gain, weight loss, weight gain, weight loss, weight gain (I’m telling myself it’s water retention), multiple periods (Why do I have periods if I can’t have a baby? ), bladder infections from the opposite of heaven, headaches, light headedness, ultra sensitivity to commercials or anything related to church (I made the New Beginnings slide show for YW and basically just cried through all twelve hours of its creation while repeating “the girls are just so special“), and did I mention forgetting things? It’s been so funny. Lee and I have been basically laughing at me the last 30 days. Luckily, I am very even tempered emotionally and so that hasn’t really been a problem – with the exception of tears during “special” things or youtube videos involving anything fuzzy.

But now all those things have subsided and I’m back to “normal”. (Thank you, Heavenly Father!) So I thought it would be nice to do a quick update on my happenings the last little while simply for recording purposes. Here’s some of the highlights of the past month or so…

We welcomed a new addition, little Ernie, into our home. Vienna is in LOVE with Ernie. He is four pounds of fabulous-ness in her eyes. And the best part is that he LOVES her. I can’t say that about many Chihuahuas considering toddlers love to touch and pull. Here is just one of many photos I have of Ernie being hugged by Vienna.

I found my dream house … but it already had a contract on it….but then it fell through and I was excited…but then it didn’t fall through…and their finances cleared…and I didn’t get it. Needless to say it was disappointing, but atleast I know the floorplan I want now. I mostly loved the tree in the front yard. It would have been my own personal Whomping Willow. Isn’t it gorgeous? Love it.

Ethan has been loving school and hats! V and E are HUGE fans of hats of any kind. If they are wearing something on their head, they are happy!

No Fuss Fabulous got a makeover. Annie and I are still in the middle of rehauling our website for our advertisers. No Fuss Fabulous has completely taken us by storm. We didn’t realize how successful it was going to be and have been very much pleasantly surprised this month by the boom! So that has kept me on my toes. I can’t believe how many bloggers are out there and looking for fun easy ideas! We have been featured on over 100 sites and average about 1000 views per day. It’s so awesome to see all the support and interest. And the best part is that we really are just having so much fun!

And finally on a much more serious note, my husband has changed his hairstyle. He is now sporting what we fondly refer to as “The Korean cut.” The days of the “electric shock” hairstyle are no more. Personally, I miss it. I miss it terribly. His hair has been faithfully mine for many years. Being apart from it really isn’t easy on our love affair. From the first time I met Lee and thought he was full Chinese to the dream my mom had about my future spouse with “that hair” – Lee’s stick straight up style has played an important role in our growing relationship. But times have changed. Lee’s hair was allegedly causing his more mature clients to question his credibility. So here is a video farewell to Lee’s old hair. I will post photos of his new hair soon.
