Fight Ladies! Purchasing Pink gives Cancer a Kick in the Patootie.

NFFPinkOctober

I don’t know many people who haven’t been hurt in some way by the awful disease we all know as Cancer.   Loved ones lost, others given months…sometimes years… of trying treatements leave each of us wondering (and worrying) when the finish line to these never-ending growths will be seen.  Yet, we have hope.  There is something in the human spirit that yearns for us to fight.  So men and women everywhere fight back.  Families fight arm and arm valiantly against the disease knowing that if one of them has it – they all have it.  Cancer is more than a disease – it’s a journey.  Most commonly accompanied with imaginary boxing gloves.

So in honor of those most courageous warriors (specifically those fighting Breast Cancer), we celebrate Pink October.

Step One in Celebration is to say a prayer for those in the fight.

Step Two is to examine yourself. Conduct a Breast Self-Exam (BSE)  Find out how here.

Step Three is to encourage friends to screen.

AND…

Step Four is to buy fabulous gear that you have always wanted and now have one more reason to justify.

Here are some of my favorite items in regards to Step Four:

1. Vespa LX 50 scooters Limited Edition Pink Vespa

2.  Unique Vintage is giving 20% of ALL their pink dress proceeds to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure

3. Sara Campbell Scarf  – 100% of proceeds goes to the Susan G. Comen for the Cure.
