Camping Update

“Reconnecting with the basics of life” has its drawbacks.

Camping continues here.

I even threw around the idea of doing some dutch oven cooking this weekend, before looking in my refrigerator for the needed items and realizing it was empty… and very much broken.

Countdown commences as I await for my Sears Repair appointment scheduled

by their sadly unreliable Filipino Call Center.

They were supposed to be here at 8am.

It’s 9:08am.

And I would type “not that any one is counting,”

but I really am counting.

I told the kids we would make s’mores tonight for FHE

regardless of the working condition of our large silver box.

I guess “reconnecting with the basics of life” has it’s upside to.

S’mores make everything better.
