A few years ago, I simply couldn’t find what I wanted in terms of feminine office furniture. With a few exceptions, there were two main desk choices for women’s offices on the market: masculine and brown OR white craft tables. Both came in a variety of rectangle shapes. No curves whatsoever. I valiantly tried to make both work. Ultimately, neither made me feel like a fashionable entrepreneur. I wondered if other women CEOs were sitting behind craft tables or on big leather chairs thinking that they just didn’t feel like themselves.
So I asked myself, “Shouldn’t a woman who is following her dreams feel like herself while she is doing it?”
I came to the realization that I needed to launch my own furniture line. Here is my office featuring a first look at some of my furniture pieces. We will have them up on the website later this week! Available in the line: Desk, Bookcase, Buffet, Office Chair, Settee, Dessert Cart, Coat Rack, Dresser. More items to come.

Early in 2015, Chasing Fireflies reached out to me and asked if my company would be interested in designing and manufacturing the party products for Gwen Stefani’s Harajuku Lovers Party Line. I (of course) was beyond delighted. A whole collection inspired by the fun of Harajuku was simply a dream come true. Each party product was carefully designed and then meticuloulsy edited by both Gwen Stefani’s and the Chasing Fireflies teams. In all, we created the following products for the Harajuku Lovers Party Line: invitations, popcorn boxes, photo prop kits, straw and pennant kits, favor boxes, cupcake kits, and rosette pennant banners. You can find all the products exclusively at Chasing Fireflies. My favorite product I designed is the cupcake invitation! See all the fun products we created for the line below in our photo shoot!
In addition, Gwen Stefani also teamed up with Chasing Fireflies to create not only a party line, but an incredible clothing and costume line. Chasing Fireflies sent me several of the adorable outfits for our models to play around in for our Harajuku Party shoot! One thing I loved about the clothing line is how soft and wearable the clothing is. Definitely check it out, if you’re like me and have daughters who love soft wearable clothes!
Special thank you to Chasing Fireflies and Harajuku Lovers for knowing the quality my company brings to every endeavor and trusting us to create the party products for this line. Thank you to Lindsay Salazar Photography for taking these beautiful photos, Betheny Tomseth of The Apothecakery for making our cake for the shoot, and all our little kawaii models for bringing the fun!
To celebrate our Georgianna’s adoption being finalized, we held a weekend celebration at our home!
Since Georgianna joined our family at 5 1/2 years old (and was now 7 1/2), Mr. Lewis and I wanted to celebrate her in a big way. We wanted it to be an event that was 100% her. In other words, roll out the nail polish, American Girl dolls, and all things fabulous!!!!
To begin the celebration, we invited all the girl cousins over for a Slumber & Spa party! My favorite Aunt Sherral made all the girls matching pink Spa robes! To say they were special would be an understatement. I mean look at them. I’ll see what I can do to get you a tutorial, but no promises. When my mother caught wind that Aunt Sherral was sewing homemade spa robes, she hit her Singer with gusto and made the girls American doll mini robes that matched Aunt Sherral’s versions perfectly! They were super special. (See photos below on post.) All I can say, is a little family recruitment can sometimes work out in the hostess’ favor. *wink*
I learned a lot from my 7th grade Home Ec windsock. I bought the girls and their dolls pajamas and slippers.
I made all the paper goods of course. But the collection was extra fun and special because it features hand drawn bunny slippers and feathers drawn by my artist mother, Georgianna’s Nana. You can find the whole collection on the website here.
Nana also made the fabulous bunny slipper cookies! I’m not positive because I was running around with my head cut off putting the party together, but I’m sure Aunt Annie and Aunt Tami helped.
My favorite cousin Katie helped pick out the fabrics for the event and cheered on Aunt Sherral as she made the spa robes. To be honest, Aunt Katie may have been the mastermind!
Aunt Shea Alison made all the mini Donuts in Georgianna’s favorite colors. See photos below!
Aunt Tami, a certified Esthetician, gave the girls pedicures. No photos. She’s private like that.
My trusty assistant Annette, who has been like a grandma to my kids through the years, made all the pink popcorn and helped set up everything beautifully!
