Speaking of inboxes,\u00a0Annie and I\u00a0LOVE LOVE LOVE<\/strong> getting\u00a0emails regarding your upcoming celebrations and ideas.\u00a0 Our readers are honestly the most creative and I have no doubt the most beautiful (and-I-mean-in-the-outward-hottiepants-way)\u00a0women ever.\u00a0 Because so many of you have such great ideas and questions, we are going to post a weekly Q&A\u00a0for our readers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Question #1:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0No Fuss Fabulous, <\/em>…I wanted to know if you have any cute ideas for a cute little decoration with a treat to put at a place setting for a wedding breakfast. My youngest son is getting married and we are doing a wedding breakfast. I want something cute to put by each plate that our guests could take home. Something with a treat in it. \nFirst of all, you are the cutest mother-in-law ever.\u00a0 Many of daughter-in-law would\u00a0die to have\u00a0\u00a0a mother-in-law who\u00a0worried about a favor to put by each plate at their wedding breakfast.\u00a0 You get twelve hundred stars from me for best mother-in-law ever<\/strong>.\u00a0 Now back to your question… I have a million and one ideas but here are my fave favors for a wedding breakfast.\u00a0 Each of them could easily be tied into your wedding\u00a0colors. \u00a0See pictured.

1.\u00a0 Pint sized preserves and honey coupled with biscuits or “homemade” bread are all the rage right now for wedding breakfast favors.\u00a0 \u00a0You can find a DIY tutorial on how to put the bread and jam pictured above at The Bridal Blog <\/a>here.\u00a0 Or you can find premade tiny jars of honey, preserves and jam online here<\/a>, here<\/a>, and here<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 Many companies will create a personalized label for your preserve or honey jars with the Bride and Groom’s initials or wedding date on them.\u00a0 I think they are just charming.\u00a0<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 Doughnuts have made a surprising appearance in the wedding scene ever since Gwen Stefani handed them out to her guests.\u00a0 A little pastry box or bag containing two doughnuts with a personalized label can be adorable for a wedding breakfast.\u00a0 JuneBug Weddings featured these two doughnut\u00a0wedding favors as well\u00a0as links to different breakfast favors here<\/a>.\u00a0 Check out the granola in a jar favor\u00a0as well!<\/p>\n

3. Personalized Love Muffin Mix\u00a0is also a fresh idea that goes perfectly with a breakfast.\u00a0 You can order them to come with a mini whisk attached and a fun personalized message.\u00a0 You can find them her<\/a>e and here<\/a>.\u00a0 If you use this as a bridal shower theme I love the idea of having a photo of the groom labeled “Stud Muffin Mix” or something way cheezy like that…but that is just me.<\/p>\n

4. Maggie’s Dinner Dates <\/a>featured mini hot chocolate jars, as well as mini maple syrup jars for favors on her blog.\u00a0 Check them out here<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 I think these are especially fun if you are having a more casual\u00a0French toast or pancake breakfast.<\/p>\n

Question #2:\u00a0 <\/em>Hi. Okay, so you\u2019re website so far has the most creative and adorable ideas. So, maybe you can help me. I am searching and searching for a great idea for my twin baby girls\u2019 first birthday which is the end of august and I\u2019m finding NOTHING\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.so frustrated. I usually get carried away and have the best most creative ideas and I\u2019ve got nothing. Not into the \u20182 peas in a pod\u2019 they are not identical so it kind of isn\u2019t fitting. I LOVE that you have twin girls that are turning one.\u00a0 How cute are you?!?!…and such an over-achiever. \u00a0If I was in the grocery store and I saw you with\u00a0your\u00a0twin \u00a0little one year old girls, I would be one of those annoying people (who I secretly hate) that stop in front of your cart\u00a0and tell you how cute they are.\u00a0 Now back to your question.\u00a0 You are completely right.\u00a0\u00a0One Lucky Duck does not go with two lucky one year old girls in the least.\u00a0 I am not into the character parties either unless you were having a Cookie Monster party and making these<\/a>. I digress.\u00a0\u00a0My favorite idea for your party\u00a0is a Purrrfect Pair\u00a0Kitty Party.\u00a0 See photos below, as well as other ideas if you are not wild about the kitty purrfect pair party … although I don’t know why you wouldn’t be. \u00a0Are you looking at those cupcakes?<\/p>\n

1. I think most people strayed away from Kitty parties simply because Hello! Kitty has taken over the kitty cat scene.\u00a0\u00a0 These adorable kitty cupcakes scream adorable-town.\u00a0 I just love them.\u00a0\u00a0They were created by\u00a0Coco Cake Cupcakes<\/a> in Vancouver and featured on the Cupcakes Take the Cake blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2. You can’t beat the cuteness factor of a tiny little girl holding a kitty cat purse.\u00a0 It’s the only time she will be able to pull it off.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 Having the whole litter of girl guests in kitty ears and matching tutus is a mother’s photography dream come true.\u00a0 After that picture is taken the whole party can go down the drain.\u00a0 It doesn’ t matter.\u00a0 You and the party will go down in birthday kitty cat cuteness history.\u00a0 Check out Etsy for kitty ears here <\/a>and here<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 Also here is the link <\/a>to my daughter’s one year old birthday party with a DIY tutu links, as well as inexpensive\u00a0Etsy stores\u00a0to buy tutus.<\/p>\n

My other Twin Birthday\u00a0ideas: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Sweet\u00a0Like Cherry<\/em>\u00a0– Since cherries come in pairs, I think this would be a cute girly twist on the peas in the pod idea. Light blue gingham tableclothes with mini individual cherry pies in pastry boxes for favors, etc.
\nDouble Happiness<\/em> – This would be an Asian themed birthday party with mini Chinese take-out boxes, chocolate dipped fortune cookies<\/a>, and Chinese laterns in pinks, red, and light blues.\u00a0
\nSugar and Spice …And twice as Nice<\/em>

Question #3: <\/strong>I don’t know if you and Annie have any great ideas, but my sister-in-law lives in New Jersey with her fiance. They are getting married in September in New York, but we want to throw them a shower at the end of this month with the family that is here in Utah…so, since they are traveling, we were gonna do a ‘gift card’ shower. Maybe you guys could toss around a few ideas. I’m at a loss…I don’t even know how to word the invite without sounding rude…ya know? I love that you just came up with the above little ditty!!!\u00a0 So cute.\u00a0 This is a hard one and I understand you not wanting to be tacky with the gift card theme, but at the same time wanting carefully nudge guests towards an easier gift to carry across the miles for your bride and groom.\u00a0 If I were you I would focus on an airline travel theme for your shower that subconsciously\u00a0reminds people\u00a0that the\u00a0couple\u00a0will be\u00a0needing to fit\u00a0gifts inside their suitcases…or preferably wallets. \u00a0Here are some of the links I love for an airline themed shower!<\/p>\n
