If anyone knows who created this fabulous American Jello, please comment and we will link!<\/p>\n<p>I realize I&#8217;ve been featuring way too many salutes to red, white, and blue foods and our readers are probably wondering if this is now solely a food site instead of an &#8220;entertaining\/mommy\/lifestyle\/craft\/we-haven&#8217;t-really-decided-our-niche-yet\/recipe blog.&#8221; But no worries, tomorrow I&#8217;ll put the red, white and blue food to rest and focus on fun Fourth of July decor&#8230;but until then I just had to do one more &#8211; Red, White, and Blue Jell-O!<\/p>\n<p>If you haven&#8217;t had a Fourth of July Jello, you must be Swedish. Red, White and Blue Jello is as American as Dolly Parton and Bill Cosby. Am I right? I mean seriously, you have to have a patriotic Jello salad at the family barbecue. It&#8217;s just one of those things that makes you feel American. Here is a recipe and a bunch of photo inspiration! Break out your Jell-O boxes and get celebrating<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mylivesignature.com\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0 !important; background: transparent;\" src=\"http:\/\/signatures.mylivesignature.com\/54487\/213\/1B769B0C9152F3A8AEB6C0B8BFF46123.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>P.S. I posted the 1980 Bill Cosby Jell-O pudding commercial at the bottom just for ole&#8217; time sakes!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Red, White and Blue Jello Salad<\/strong> (recipe via<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cooks.com\/rec\/view\/0,1843,145161-246205,00.html\"> Cooks.com<\/a>)<br \/>\n<em>2 pkgs. red Jello (strawberry or raspberry)<br \/>\n2 c. boiling water<br \/>\n1 c. ice water<br \/>\n1 c. half and half<br \/>\n1 c. sugar<br \/>\n1 tsp. vanilla<br \/>\n1 env. unflavored gelatin, dissolved in 1\/2 c. cold water<br \/>\n1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened<br \/>\n1 can blueberry pie filling<\/em><\/p>\n<p>RED LAYER: Dissolve 1 package Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Stir in 1 cup ice water, pour into glass, rectangle casserole dish. Chill until set.<br \/>\nWHITE LAYER: Heat Half and Half and sugar. Remove from heat; add vanilla and gelatin; beat in cream cheese. Cool, pour on top of red layer. Chill.<br \/>\nBLUE LAYER: Dissolve 1 package Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Add blueberry pie filling.
