The party was fun and fabulous for all ages &#8211; toddlers to adults.\u00a0 As we entered into the balloon lined entrance, we knew the party had begun.\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.loraleelewis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/milosmontage11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4040\" title=\"milosmontage11\" src=\"https:\/\/www.loraleelewis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/milosmontage11-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"milosmontage11\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Milo&#8217;s mom made festive flags to drape the ceiling.\u00a0 To make these she used ribbon, triangle cuts of fabric and (we were so proud of her!) <em>a stapler<\/em>! Ingenious.<\/p>\n<p>Her cute &#8220;Happy Birthday&#8221; sign was 6&#8243;x6&#8243; scrapbook paper bought in a booklet with printed letters on top!<\/p>\n<p>A fun circus-like tent was popped up in the middle of one of the rooms; you can get one like it <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Bazoongi-Kids-LLC-Circus-Structure\/dp\/B000S5SSTM\/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=toys-and-games&amp;qid=1237668425&amp;sr=8-1\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The kitchen held a carnival-copia of food stuffs from hot dogs and popcorn to cotton candy and cupcakes.\u00a0 An adorable mini cake was made especially for Milo by Mom &#8211; which he dug into after discovering it&#8217;s sugar laden delights.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.loraleelewis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/milosmontage3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4041\" title=\"milosmontage3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.loraleelewis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/milosmontage3-300x240.jpg\" alt=\"milosmontage3\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.loraleelewis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/milosmontage3-300x240.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.loraleelewis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/milosmontage3.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The basement was were the fun was in full swing! The mini &#8220;booths&#8221; that lined the room were delinated by brightly colored fabric clothespinned to a clothing line that ran around the room! There was a booth for Pin the Tail on the blow-up Donkey, tattoos, Ducks in the Pond, Fish Out of Water, a clown you could get your face taken as, and my very favorite, throw the bean bag into Milo&#8217;s Mouth (a blown up picture of Milo with his open mouth cut out)! At each booth the older kids could earn tickets to redeem later for prizes! <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loraleelewis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/milosmontage21.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4043\" title=\"milosmontage21\" src=\"https:\/\/www.loraleelewis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/milosmontage21-183x300.jpg\" alt=\"milosmontage21\" width=\"183\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.loraleelewis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/milosmontage21-183x300.jpg 183w, https:\/\/www.loraleelewis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/milosmontage21-768x1256.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.loraleelewis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/milosmontage21-626x1024.jpg 626w, https:\/\/www.loraleelewis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/milosmontage21-810x1325.jpg 810w, https:\/\/www.loraleelewis.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/milosmontage21.jpg 1037w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 183px) 100vw, 183px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>All the details came together for a memorable first birthday party. It was fun for all whether one or thirty one! Our tot was asleep before we got home &#8211; now that&#8217;s a great party! A special thanks to the generous Milo and parents for inviting us and allowing me to post his party.
