“Once upon a time, there was a woman\u00a0who couldn’t have babies.\u00a0 So God gave her two princes and two princesses<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

My little Vienna had a birthday a few weeks ago.\u00a0 My kids get “a friend party” every other year and this was V’s year!\u00a0 When I asked Vienna what theme she wanted for her birthday, Miss V\u00a0said “I want a Princess and The Frog party<\/em>.” \u00a0I may or may not have\u00a0bursted into a million pieces of pure joy right there in my kitchen.\u00a0\u00a0I have never done a princess party and always wanted to. And what mother doesn’t love a princess party for her very own princess?\u00a0 (Not to mention my\u00a0imagination went into full hypermode.\u00a0 Parallels between “Dreams Coming True in New Orleans”, Tiana working hard for her dreams,\u00a0me not feeling like a princess but working hard and then somehow two little Princesses magically coming\u00a0into my life,\u00a0exploded in my brain.)\u00a0\u00a0That being said, I tried not to overreact.<\/p>\n

“Are you sure?,”<\/em> I\u00a0asked tensely, “There are so many other themes<\/em>?”\u00a0 \u00a0She responded, “I want a Princess and The Frog party<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

“Okay,”<\/em> I said as nonchalantly as possible.\u00a0 Then greedily I grabbed my ipad and ordered both of the girls Princess dresses online right there to seal the deal.\u00a0\u00a0 I magically restrained myself enough to let both girls choose their own dress.<\/p>\n

Delight in throwing a princess\u00a0soiree aside, \u00a0I\u00a0honestly was\u00a0warmed by the fact that my little\u00a0V chose this princess theme.<\/em>\u00a0 There are many princess-themed parties featured online,\u00a0but very few Princess and The Frog ones.\u00a0\u00a0 V is biracial so\u00a0naturally I love the fact that the Disney version doesn’t feature the more common blonde hair blue-eyed princess.\u00a0\u00a0But all that far far aside, the story is magical to me.\u00a0 Unlike some princesses, the character is strong and the theme “Princesses need to work hard to make their dreams come true” is one I want my girls to hold on to.\u00a0 I adore that Tiana, Disney’s Princess, has a dream beyond\u00a0just meeting Prince Charming.<\/p>\n

“If you make a wish on evening star it’s sure to come true. But, remember…that old star can only take you part of the way. You got to help him with some hard work of your own. And then… you can do anything you set your mind to<\/em>.”\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Here’s a look into my Princess’ party.\u00a0 I’ll put the\u00a0details at the bottom of the post.\"\"\"\"<\/p>\n
