I had three little ones and a house filled with years of memories to pack up in three days. \u00a0 Mr. Lewis just had his cornea transplant to restore his sight and was under strict guidelines to not lift<em> a thing<\/em>. \u00a0 \u00a0I remember thinking I was handling it all very well. \u00a0<em><strong>Then the doorbell rang.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">You may laugh because I share so much on the blog &#8211; but I am a pretty private person in &#8220;real life.&#8221; \u00a0 \u00a0I adore space and I tend to keep to myself. \u00a0<strong><em>The doorbell rang again. <\/em><\/strong> I thought long and hard about not answering it. \u00a0To be completely honest with you, I don&#8217;t love people just popping in unexpectedly. \u00a0On this day, I had no desire to answer the door especially since I was \u00a0knee-deep in laundry with absolutely no makeup. \u00a0I decided not to answer the door.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>Then the doorbell rang again.<\/em><\/strong> They were not going away. \u00a0 I rolled my eyes at their tenacity, \u00a0but decided I&#8217;d lose my pride and answer the door in all my un-showered glory. \u00a0I answered the door to find a dear friend. \u00a0 She was a little shocked at my appearance. \u00a0After recovering from her shock, \u00a0she said she just felt like I needed to be checked in on. \u00a0Then she gathered me up in a big bear hug. \u00a0To this day, I don&#8217;t know why &#8211; but I started to cry. \u00a0<strong><em>It felt so good to be checked in on<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I think we all need to be checked in on every once in awhile. \u00a0 We all need to know that someone has the tenacity to keep ringing our doorbell to make sure we are okay &#8211; even at inconvenient times. \u00a0I believe we all (no matter how private) adore being truly cared for. \u00a0 This little freebie is a tiny reminder <strong><em>to not be afraid of being \u00a0intrusively caring<\/em><\/strong>. \u00a0 You can<a href=\"http:\/\/www.4shared.com\/document\/h1_WlxfO\/Loralee_Lewis_Checking_in_on_y.html\"> download it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Blog to you soon,<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mylivesignature.com\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"border: 0 !important; background: transparent;\" src=\"http:\/\/signatures.mylivesignature.com\/54489\/84\/CA43CE42B1A78F3D39348BC6A8DE1E18.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It wasn&#8217;t too long ago that I was packing to leave Texas.
