<\/a><\/p>\nThey are so special. <\/em>I never thought I would be so deeply\u00a0in love with being a mom of two little boys.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Little boys are like no other.\u00a0 They are fiercely loyal and true.\u00a0\u00a0 These two have\u00a0stolen\u00a0my heart and will always have it. So for my little Boston’s birthday I had this AMAZING\u00a0unrealistic vision <\/strong><\/em>of\u00a0 a 1920s type\u00a0 ice cream social with him in a little bow tie with a striped apron behind a vintage ice cream parlor counter.\u00a0\u00a0 The\u00a0dream was complete with puffs of pink and blue cotton candy floating through the air. There may or may not have been real cherubs flying through the cotton candy clouds.\u00a0\u00a0 I almost couldn’t stand it.\u00a0 To say I was pumped would be an understatment. Even as I write this my mouth is drooling at the cuteness of that birthday vision.<\/p>\n Then I remembered Boston doesn’t even like ice cream.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Shoot!\u00a0 Vision was mentaly crumpled up and thrown\u00a0on the floor.\u00a0\u00a0 Brain was sent\u00a0back to the drawing board.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0 I had forgotten my\u00a0No. 1\u00a0Rule of planning any event!\u00a0<\/p>\n Loralee’s No. 1 Rule for planning any event<\/span>:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>The event should 100% reflect the person\u00a0being\u00a0celebrated.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n So I thought about my little tike.\u00a0<\/p>\n My little almost-two-year-old loves fried chicken,\u00a0 corn on the cob, sweet potato fries, mashed potatoes, and pie!\u00a0 He was born on July 5th (you can read about that day here<\/a>) , loves to be outdoors and with family.\u00a0\u00a0 I guess you could say he is the 100% all-American Boy.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n He \u00a0loves fishing and\u00a0throwing rocks. Getting dirty, doing what’s right, and being mischeiveous.\u00a0\u00a0 He says his prayers and fiercely\u00a0loves\u00a0his mommy.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0When he gives you a hug, he\u00a0holds on so<\/em> tight.\u00a0\u00a0 He is\u00a0a little bit shy, a lot of energy, and when he smiles, his smile very slowly glides across his whole face. \u00a0It makes you wince, it’s so adorable.<\/p>\n So last night I changed my birthday vision for him from a 1920s ice cream parlor to an American Country Picnic.\u00a0 It will be a small patriotic\u00a0 picnic\u00a0with family & friends, fried chicken, and homemade apple pie.\u00a0 Oh, and plenty of\u00a0outdoors\u00a0to throw rocks and \u00a0just run!\u00a0\u00a0 Here’s the mock-up of his invitation I made last night.\u00a0 I was out in the garden this morning and thought I’d take a little photo of it for you! \u00a0 I hope you like it!\u00a0 I can’t wait to tell you about Ethan’s party too.\u00a0 We are doing a Pirate theme!\u00a0 But for now, I’ve got to go put a little country boy, a pirate, and a princess to bed!<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
