Oh, ladies.\u00a0 Here are just a few more trends that I spotted at the NY Sationery Show…<\/p>\n

1) Metallics – Personally, I think gold and silver are always in style.\u00a0 That being said,\u00a0metallics\u00a0were\u00a0HUGE at the stationery show and how doesn’t like to surround themselves with more silver and gold?!\u00a0 Look for tons of\u00a0marvelous metallics in paper, especially for the holidays.<\/p>\n

2) Ribbon & Glitter – Again, I never get tired of a little satin and sparkle.\u00a0 But it seems no one else will either this year.\u00a0 Lots of invitations and cards had special little unexpected extras on them at the show.\u00a0 It was fun to see a mediocre card come to life with a little dash of glitter and a strip of satin ribbon.<\/p>\n

3) Laser Cut Masterpieces – Perhaps, my favorite trend of the WHOLE show!\u00a0 With intricate laser cut<\/em> detailing and design, wedding invitations and stationery are being beautifully enhanced.\u00a0 Look for gorgeous laser cut wedding invitation bands and for birthdays and bridal showers – gorgeous finely cut cupcake wrappers and place cards.<\/p>\n

4) Saracastic Holiday Cards – With messages like “Merry Stressmas and Happy Hollardays,”\u00a0 sarcasm\u00a0seems to be a trend for this upcoming holiday season.\u00a0\u00a0 I’m not going to say it’s my favorite trend\u00a0 (I LOVE the holidays and am more of a “Happy Holidays to all!” type), but there are a few new sarcastic greeting cards out there that truly made me giggle at the show.<\/p>\n

5) Traditional Invitations\u00a0–\u00a0 My final trend to share\u00a0is also a favorite!\u00a0 It seems stationery is going back to more traditional feel.\u00a0 For a little while there in paper, we were dabbling with the 80s-type craziness.\u00a0\u00a02011-2012 seems to be looking back to a more streamlined traditional beauty in cards and invites that we have seen in the past three years.<\/p>\n
