I am not going to lie, ladies.\u00a0 I had\u00a0the most\u00a0fabulous<\/em> weekend.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I just got \u00a0back from\u00a0the National Stationery Show <\/a>in NYC.\u00a0 My feet are swollen from unsensible shoes … but so is my heart<\/strong>!\u00a0 I am so excited about all the new\u00a0paper trends I am going to share with you!\u00a0 Eek!<\/em> You are going to LOVE <\/strong><\/em>what is coming up in stationery!<\/p>\n

But first I have to tell you who I saw… okay, I didn’t actually see them <\/em>– my BFF did.\u00a0 But I have forced\u00a0her to\u00a0re-tell the story so many times, I feel <\/em>like I was there.\u00a0 \u00a0To clarify, \u00a0we went to New York together \u00a0but at this particular moment I was at the Stationery Show,<\/a> and she was walking home from the Guggenheim<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 So there\u00a0my BFF\u00a0was just walking all alone with thoughts of Georges Seurat in her head when all of a sudden\u00a0none other than, Anna Wintour <\/a>is standing \u00a0right in front of her.\u00a0 (I want all readers to stop right here.\u00a0\u00a0 Take a breath and think about what you would do if Anna Wintour was in front of you.\u00a0\u00a0I\u00a0personally would have fell completely apart. \u00a0From the sounds of it, my bff was as cool as cucumber.)\u00a0 My bff then\u00a0hears this familiar Sex in the City<\/em> voice from behind her.\u00a0\u00a0Enter Ms. Sarah Jessica Parker<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 There my BFF was – all alone on\u00a0an empty\u00a0street\u00a0in New York with THE<\/em> Anna Wintour and THE<\/em> Sarah Jessica Parker.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 They were wearing high heels, wrap\u00a0dresses, and trenches.\u00a0\u00a0 Neither\u00a0wore sunglasses.\u00a0 Both looked perfect<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 She said after seeing them she wanted to throw her Marc Jacobs bag (that I have been idolizing for the last six weeks) in the nearest trash can and start all over.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I actually am the tiniest bit glad I wasn’t there because I probably would have stopped breathing and tripped on the smallest pebble in front of me and somehow severly injured myself or all of them.\u00a0\u00a0According to my BFF,\u00a0 Anna & Sarah\u00a0kept saying things like, “oh, darling… darling..<\/em>.”\u00a0 over and over again.\u00a0 \u00a0When she told me that I just thought, “Fantastic<\/em>.”\u00a0 Would we really expect anything less?\u00a0 Fabulous.<\/em> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

At this point in the post, it seems only\u00a0fitting to focus on the fashion of the Stationery Show.\u00a0 This year, the National Stationery show presented something new – \u00a0The Paper Runway<\/em>. In partnership with nationally known retailer Kate’s Paperie<\/a>, NSS presented a collection of one-of-a-kind paper dresses and accessories created by some of the latest women\u2019s apparel designers – Lela Rose<\/a>, Susan Woo<\/a>, Yeohlee<\/a>, Jen Kao<\/a>, and Donald Deal <\/a>– and others by cutting-edge, developing designers from the\u00a0design school, New York City’s LIM<\/a>.\u00a0 Let me tell you first hand, the designs were amazing!<\/em> I can’t imagine the time and effort that was put in.\u00a0 Below are a few.\u00a0 Note<\/em>: my iphone photos do not do them near the justice they deserve!<\/p>\n
