{"id":13024,"date":"2010-10-24T20:43:00","date_gmt":"2010-10-25T01:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.loraleelewis.com\/blog\/?p=13024"},"modified":"2020-01-24T14:49:38","modified_gmt":"2020-01-24T20:49:38","slug":"confessions-no-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.loraleelewis.com\/blog\/confessions-no-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Confessions no. 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&nbsp;insist on having a theme song at all times.&nbsp; The Fighter by Gym Class Heroes is my current theme.&nbsp; I listen to it every morning.<\/p>\n<p>My postman is fantastic.&nbsp;&nbsp;I can set my watch by that little man.&nbsp; People who are&nbsp;superior&nbsp;at their job &#8211; two thumbs way up.<\/p>\n<p>There was this woman in my old neighborhood who I would see walking&nbsp;almost everyday for the seven years I lived there.&nbsp;&nbsp;Her weight never changed from the first day I saw her to the last day I left, but she&nbsp;walked every day despite rain, heat, or&nbsp;snow.&nbsp;&nbsp; I don&#8217;t know her&nbsp;name.&nbsp;&nbsp;But her persistence was inspiring. &nbsp;I wonder how many&nbsp;people have inspired&nbsp;others and have no idea.&nbsp; It&nbsp;reminds me&nbsp;that our everyday actions have unknown ripple effects.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s seriously embarrassing how much I&nbsp;miss shopping in Dallas. &nbsp;I can hardly talk about it.<\/p>\n<p>I now live in Eagle, Idaho.&nbsp; After almost six months of living here, last week I found a decent mall a million minutes away from my home.&nbsp; I almost started crying.&nbsp; I can&#8217;t tell you how embarrassed I am writing that. I feel so shallow, but it&#8217;s true.<\/p>\n<p>I&nbsp;have this weird thing with moms who eat off their child&#8217;s plate. &nbsp;I can&#8217;t approve.&nbsp; I am so sorry if this offends you.<\/p>\n<p>Once in a while when I&#8217;m craving a treat, I trick the kids into saying they want one &#8211; just so I can justify it.<br \/>\nMr. Lewis: <em>&#8220;Oh, you made raspberry gelato.&#8221;<\/em><br \/>\nMe: &#8220;<em>The kiddos wanted some&nbsp;sooo bad. I just finally gave in<\/em>.&#8221;&nbsp; (Best said with a bit of exasperation.)<\/p>\n<p>How is that any different than eating off your child&#8217;s plate?<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes when the kids fall asleep in the car, I still keep the radio going <em>pretty<\/em> loud. I just need the music sometimes.<\/p>\n<p>Just finished The Hunger Games trilogy.&nbsp; Peeta, Gale, Katniss&#8230;what can I say?<\/p>\n<p>Also just finished Shades of Grey Trilogy.&nbsp;Christian Grey? &nbsp;Enough said.<\/p>\n<p>I have&nbsp;the biggest&nbsp;crush on 50 cent.&nbsp; Did you see him being interviewed by Oprah?&nbsp; He was adorable.<\/p>\n<p>I am worried about Taylor Swift dating a Kennedy.&nbsp; That being said, if they become engaged, I would kill to do their wedding invitations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&nbsp;insist on having a theme song at all times.&nbsp; The Fighter by Gym Class Heroes is my current theme.&nbsp; I listen to it every morning.
