It’s Birthday season here in the Lewis home!\u00a0 All my sweeties have summer birthdays and so we are in full-swing celebration mode!\u00a0 After\u00a0 Boston’s Safari Adventure <\/a>a few weeks ago with the whole family in Utah, I knew we needed to do\u00a0something\u00a0special for Ethan!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0My Mr. Sunshine\u00a0loves everything that has to do with the beach and daily asks me to teach him how to surf!\u00a0(I wish I knew!)<\/em> In honor of this and having four years of Mr. Sunshine on this earth,\u00a0I decided to hold\u00a0a Beach Birthday party at our home here in Texas!\u00a0 Here are the photos from the event, as well as a little slideshow of the little wet guests that attended!<\/object><\/p>\n

\nTo save time, I purchased Ethan’s cupcakes from The Cupcakery <\/a>here in Dallas.
\nIn the past, I have replicated some of their decorating genius in my own cupcake making.
\nI have learned that you can replicate the cupcake,
\nbut not the ease of walking in and just buying your cupcakes!!
\nWhen I am more busy than usual (like this summertime filled with parties),
\nit’s worth it to me to purchase\u00a0my cupcakes.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And let’s be honest, aren’t these just the cutest?
\nI stuck the umberellas in and was done!
\nLove that.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I’d be lying if I said the cupcake frosting was heat-resistant against the Texas sun.
\nBut is that what we are really looking for in a cupcake? Heat-resistant frosting?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

In order to feed the swarms of small ones with a budget smaller than the White House’s,
\nI purchased corn dogs from the freezer section of my local grocer and baked them at home.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I placed them in a colorful box lined with styrofoam to keep them upright and straight.
\nIt worked like a charm.
\nThe kiddos loved how they could help themselves…
\nand so did the hostess!<\/p>\n

\nDrinks for the “Big Kids!”
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I told<\/a> you. I love labels<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

In order to keep wet hands from diving into bowls of chips and cheetoes,
\nI designed single self-serve treat holders for each side item at the party.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>
\nI then labeled each of the three items using vintage surf lingo:
\nThe Big Cheese Daddy, Bahama Mama Mix, and Beach Bunny Bites.
\nI thought I was ingenious!\"\"<\/a>
\nIn order for the single-serves not to blow away with the occasional wind,
\nI place a 1\/4 cup of sugar in a bag at the bottom of each item. \"\"<\/a>
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nFor the favors, I placed the popular cookies, Pecan Sandies, in small sandbuckets with labeled water bottles.
\n\"\"<\/a>
\nIf you can’t read the tag (due to my superior photography), it read:
\nThank you!
\nBucket of Pecan Sandies
\nLeave with more than sand between your toes!
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We really had so much fun!<\/p>\n
